It allows you to communicate with your friends and family in close proximity and over short distances of up to 2 or 3 kms. You can choose one of up to 24 different channels. If anyone in your area selects the same channel, changing is easy to do, just press a button! You can even reprogram each channel with one of over 400 different codes to keep your communications private.

The IC-F22SR has an auto-channel selection function to find a free channel. The radio also has a group call function that allows exclusive groups to use the equipment without interference from each other. A ringer function attracts the user's attention and a Smart Ring function lets you know whether the recipient has received your call.

Compatible with IC-F3GT for accessories
The IC-F22SR is accessory-compatible with the LICENCEd IC-F3GT. This makes available a wide range of business-quality accessories and provides the opportunity to share common items such as batteries, headsets etc.

PMR 446 may also be used in most EU countries without restriction. This means you can even take your PMR 446 radio on holiday with you.
