The Scottish Events Campus (SEC) is planning to expand its current site with new £200 million plans. The new expansion could see the site benefit from a new entrance and outdoor areas at its Clyde-side site.
Earlier this year SCG installed a new CCTV system consisting of over 60 cameras at both the SEC and SSE Hydro, on the same site. The CCTV upgrade now provides up to 16MP quality video and images for optimal security around public areas of the site.
The SEC Finance and Development Manager, Billy McFadden, speaking to the BBC, said that the expansion was needed ‘to ensure we have the best facilities and to maintain the current level of success.’ Read the full announcement on the BBC here.
Our West Coast based engineers provide ongoing maintenance at the site to both the SEC and SSE Hydro as well as the Glasgow Science centre which is also located just opposite, on the other side of the river.
Congratulations to the SEC, we hope the expansion brings even more opportunity to the campus, which is surely one of the best known and loved landmarks in Glasgow!
