Achievement of top industry standard will boost expansion plans for security systems specialist

Perth based Scottish Communications Group has created the new trading name of SCS Security Design for the security arm of its business, thanks to buoyant growth in the hi-tech security surveillance market.

A Perth-based security systems specialist has achieved the highest possible independent approval for the security sector, which will play a crucial role in fulfilling ambitious plans to expand the business.

SCS Security Design – part of the Scottish Communications Group - achieved the NACOSS Gold Standard from the National Security Inspectorate following a rigorous two-year assessment that examines all aspects of operational procedure, including administration and engineering processes, along with customer service levels.

SCS Security Design offers specialist expertise in the design, supply, installation and maintenance of CCTV and Access Control systems, and the coveted Gold Standard is widely recognised by organisations such as insurance companies, police forces and local authorities as an independent stamp of approval for security suppliers that offer best practice procedures.

According to Paul Gibson, Managing Director of SCS Security Design, the award will provide a springboard for further business expansion in Scotland and the rest of the UK. A key target will be to further develop sales to Police forces and agencies of SCS’s successful cutting edge miniature CCTV cameras that can be head or body worn.
