A new intruder and access control system in Perthshire primary school
The intruder and access control system is working so well that another school is about to have a similar system installed.
An increasing pupil roll recently resulted in a redevelopment of Dunning Primary School, with an extension built to complement the
existing school building.
Working under main contractor McGill Electrical, SCS Security Design installed a new access and intruder control system at the school to cover the entrances and exits in both the new and old school buildings.
One of the main features is a video paging system that enables the caretaker or janitor to carry a mobile device that alerts them if someone
wants to gain access to the school. The system has also been designed to enable assisted access for visitors, pupils and staff if required.
Perth & Kinross Council has now ordered a similar system for a revamp at Errol Primary School, situated between Perth and Dundee.
