About a month ago we sat down with Tony Edwards, the Head of Technical Service at the Scottish Exhibition Campus (formerly the SECC), to learn about how they are using CCTV in their security and building management.

The SEC hosts over a million people a year, and with such a busy schedule, keeping track of everything (and everyone) is critical, both for the safety of the visitors and the safety of the staff.

Scottish Communication Group has been working with the SEC to fully upgrade and modernise their CCTV systems, a project which involves upgrading over 60 cameras at the SEC Centre and over 80 cameras at the SSE Hydro.

This interview gives a great insight into how a large public space like the SEC is focusing on clever CCTV technology to help in their operational and security performance.
