Case Studies - BG Group, Aberdeen
Scottish Communications are proud to announce that they were awarded the contract for a new IndigoVision I.P. CCTV system installation at the B G Group's premises in Aberdeen via Sodexo who are the buildings Facilities Management provider.
The Office complex, which consists 3 different levels of office area is currently undergoing a full re-furbishment which will include a new CCTV system with both internal and external cameras.
The advantage of installing an I.P. system is that it can be operated and/or viewed by any authorised member of staff both locally and at any other of the B G Group offices, one of which is their Head Office in Reading, via their area network. The cameras are covering all entrance/exit areas of the building, front and rear car park areas which will give them full perimeter coverage to the premises. All cameras can then be programmed for Motion detection - which can alert a security guard that movement has occurred, within an area covered by a camera, after normal working hours. That guard can then be alerted via an e-mail or on screen message that someone may have entered or is moving within the building, he in turn can then view the video images to check out that particular event.
Full training to all authorised staff members will be given on completion of the system. Two annual maintenance visits will also be carried out to ensure that the I.P. system is in full working order.
